New SafePass Configurations
The LED traffic signals for Dynaco doors are now easier to order & install
In 2017, 4Front Engineered Solutions (formerly Entrematic) introduced SafePass for Dynaco Doors to reduce collisions between forklifts, people and doors. The LED light bars that mount alongside a Dynaco door helped direct traffic by providing custom programmed signals. Now we’re making it easier to order SafePass for new and existing doors by offering four standard configurations.
Three of these configurations provide traffic signals to forklift operators with an intuitive color scheme: red to stop traffic and green to allow traffic through the door. A yellow warning light can be programmed to alert drivers when the door is about to close.
One of the configurations works in conjunction with presence sensors to warn a forklift operator of an obstruction on the other side of the door. This can help overcome blind-spots in a facility and reduce the incidence of injury to people and damage to inventory.
These four configurations were developed based upon the most common implementations since SafePass was released. Custom programming and integration of other detection devices can still be achieved when necessary. But these standard configurations should cover most requirements for high-traffic doorways.
SafePass is a LED strip housed in an aluminum frame with diffusing lens and mounting brackets. The controller is mounted in Dynaco’s control box and programmed to work with the installed sensors according to the chosen configuration.
